Employment Officer at the Employment Unit

The Employment Unit serves individuals in need of personalized support towards the labor market.

Our approach is based on individually tailored support with a holistic view of the individual, focusing on strengths and development potential, and recognizing that each person is responsible for their own life.

The unit includes Återbruket Bjästa, Återbruket Bredbyn, Plattform U, and Startpunkten.

As an employment officer at the Employment Unit, you will work with work-oriented rehabilitation, matching, and coaching to enhance individuals' opportunities for self-sufficiency.

Job Responsibilities

The role of an employment officer is complex and challenging, requiring various competencies as you meet individuals with diverse experiences and needs.

Your responsibilities include:

  • establishing, documenting, and following up on individual employment plans,
  • maintaining regular contact with workplaces where individuals are employed or training,
  • collaborating with authorities, internal operations, external employers, and other relevant stakeholders,
  • working practically on-site at workplaces as needed to follow up and ensure the employment is functioning,
  • managing approximately 30–40 individuals simultaneously and creating structure in your work.

This position focuses on case management and responsibility for BEA employment within the municipality's labor market initiatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in behavioral science, social work, or another relevant post-secondary education. Experience in similar roles or labor market initiatives is an advantage.

You have the ability to engage with individuals with disabilities and those who have experienced crises or trauma. You are a relationship-building and collaborative person who is also self-driven and confident in decision-making.

We highly value flexibility, structure, and perseverance, as well as experience with employer contacts, inter-agency collaboration, and labor market coaching.

You have good computer skills and are accustomed to documenting and working in systems such as Lifecare.

You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Approximately 2500 employees work in the welfare administration. During the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents include Passport, International ID card, Driver's license + personal certificate from the tax agency, or other ID documents that support citizenship.

We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sámi varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both Finnish and Sámi administrative areas.

In our municipality, several positions are classified in security class, so a security review may take place. These positions require Swedish citizenship.
