Technical Illustrator

We have many exciting projects underway and therefore need to strengthen our Spare Parts Catalog department with several technical illustrators.

Your Future Challenge

BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik is currently in an expansive phase due to billion-dollar deals. To meet the high demand, BAE Systems Hägglunds is recruiting new technical illustrators.

As an illustrator, you will belong to the Article Information and Spare Parts Catalog unit. This unit consists of a group responsible for the development and delivery of the spare parts catalog. The group consists of about 30 employees divided into roles such as team leader, editors, and illustrators.

You will work with technical illustrations that are part of the technical publications our customers order. These include instruction manuals, repair manuals, spare parts catalogs, training materials, etc. The work is project-based, and the illustrations are created in collaboration primarily with editors for our technical publications.

As an illustrator for manuals and spare parts catalogs, you will illustrate technical information and thereby contribute to creating user-friendly publications. You need to understand CAD drawings and navigate CAD programs to create informative images for technical publications. We use tools such as Catia, Isodraw, Creo illustrate, Rhino 3D, Illustrator, Corel Draw, and SAP VEA, among others.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a good technical understanding and an analytical mindset. You also need to have a strong ability to gather information from various sources to process and compile it into a whole. As a person, you are structured and meticulous. You have a strong drive and take responsibility for your deliveries.

If you have experience working with technical illustrations and/or media production for technical documentation, it is particularly meritorious.

Since we work in an international environment, you need to communicate in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

As a person, you are interested in technology, solution-oriented, and have the ability to quickly gain an understanding of a system. At the same time, you are meticulous, self-driven, and take responsibility for your deliveries. Since our projects are often complex with many interfaces, you also need to be collaborative.
