We are a specialist resource within Region Sörmland based on special knowledge of permanent disabilities and their consequences in everyday life. Habilitation is a complement to the rest of the healthcare system. Our mission is to assess and provide habilitative interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as mobility impairments, multiple disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.

We work from a combined clinic in multiprofessional teams divided into child, youth, and adult teams. The habilitation clinic in Katrineholm is located at Kullbergska Hospital. We belong to the division of psychiatry and disabilities.

Your tasks

We offer you a fun, stimulating, and developing job both individually and in a team consisting of various professions. This position is primarily aimed at adolescents and adults, but individuals of all ages may be relevant as we collaborate across the entire clinic, regardless of team, as needed.

We provide interventions individually or in groups, at our clinic or in the individual's everyday environments. The interventions target both the patient, relatives, and in collaboration with the network. Since you will be an important cog in the multiprofessional team, it is essential that you enjoy working with others and believe that the best results are achieved together. Together with the rest of the team, you will establish habilitation plans and carry out habilitation interventions. The professions meet regularly at regional professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues. Professional coordinators are available within the organization as support.

General description of the profession's tasks

• Investigate, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions based on needs within: gross motor function level, positioning, mobility, pain, breathing, and circulation.
• Information, advice, and support to patients, families, and networks.
• Pre- and post-operative assessment/action.
• Assessment and prescription of movement technical/medical and orthopedic technical aids.
• Lead group activities such as pool therapy or other motor skills groups.
• Act as a consultant to other services within the municipality and region.

Your competence

We are looking for someone who is a licensed physiotherapist. Experience in the field is an advantage, as is knowledge of the habilitation target group. A valid driver's license (B) is required. We place great importance on your personal qualities and your ability to work collaboratively in a team and cooperate with other stakeholders.

Permanent employment 100% or as agreed. Start date as agreed.
