About Us

The Anesthesia Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset/Kullbergska Hospital is a high-tech, dynamic, and development-oriented clinic. It is the largest service clinic in Södermanland and includes Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna and Kullbergska Hospital in Katrineholm. The core mission of the Anesthesia Clinic consists of surgical care and intensive care.

Mälarsjukhuset has all the advantages of a medium-sized county hospital, where there is broad, advanced clinical activity but short decision-making paths. All emergency surgery, obstetrics, and intensive care are conducted here.

Kullbergska Hospital is the county's production unit for planned surgical care with five operating rooms used on weekdays. The Anesthesia Clinic also staffs an emergency on-call service that primarily consults and serves the emergency operations and intermediate care at Kullbergska Hospital. Regular intensive care is not conducted at Kullbergska Hospital, which is why the logistics of transporting these patients is a central function for the Anesthesia Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset and Kullbergska Hospital.

Research opportunities within Region Södermanland are generally good and particularly within the Anesthesia Clinic. The clinic has increasing research activity with several PhD doctors and ongoing studies.

Your Responsibilities

Induce and awaken anesthesia, provide analgesia and relief, save lives of patients of all ages.

Your Competence

We are looking for a licensed anesthesiologist with solid experience in clinical anesthesia and intensive care. We have many resident doctors who seek further role models in the specialist/senior physician category. An interest in teaching is appreciated as all staff members at the clinic request this quality. We place great importance on personal qualities.
