About us

The habilitation is a specialist unit based on specific knowledge of permanent disabilities and their consequences in everyday life. We are a complement to other health and medical care. Our mission is to provide habilitative and investigative efforts to children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as mobility impairments, multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.

We work in multiprofessional teams divided into child, youth, and adult teams, and you will also work together with an experienced pediatric nurse. The team includes occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, special educators, and medical secretaries.

The habilitation provides services individually and/or in groups, at our reception or in the patient's everyday environments. Since you will be an important part of our multiprofessional teams, it is important that you enjoy working with others and believe that the best results are achieved together.

We work from a behavioral medical perspective, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and you will be offered internal training in this.

We meet regularly in regional professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues with our colleagues in the region. Within our operations, there is a constant improvement process where all employees are involved.

Your tasks

In habilitation, you will be part of a multiprofessional team for patients aged 0-18 years. As a nurse, you contribute medical knowledge and have close collaboration with pediatric neurologists and child psychiatrists. Together with the doctors, you manage their waiting lists and are responsible for bookings. Collaboration with the children's clinic is important as many of our patients are also relevant there.

The nurse's main areas of work are within nutrition and elimination. You will manage patients with gastrostomy where you provide support and advice to families and networks regarding these and manage prescriptions. We also meet many patients with various eating difficulties and provide support and advice regarding this and monitor growth. The nurse has close collaboration with the dietitian.

In elimination, we work with independence training for incontinence and RIK/TAI but also with the prescription of aids.

As a nurse, you will spend part of your time staffing the reception's TeleQ to provide advice and guide patients and parents.

Your competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist competence in child and adolescent health. Experience working with children is an advantage, as is knowledge of the habilitation's target group. A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your ability to work together in a team and collaborate with other actors.

Employment form

Permanent employment with start date by agreement. Working hours Monday to Friday 40 hours/week.
