Care Assistant at Vågen

Are you a care assistant looking to work in a residence where flexibility is truly valued? At Vågen – our modern residence that opened in November 2022 near Ica Maxi in Skiftinge – we offer 88 places, evenly distributed between care and nursing homes and dementia care. Here, we work closely together between departments and support each other where needed, giving you a flexible role with the opportunity to work in both areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant, you provide support and service to the elderly in their daily lives. Your work includes personal care, performing delegated tasks, as well as cleaning and laundry. We work person-centered, which means we start from each individual's needs and wishes, to contribute to increased participation and health.

You play an important role in creating security for our users and providing them with a meaningful everyday life. For some users, you are the contact person responsible for establishing and following up on implementation plans and response plans. You ensure that guidelines and routines are followed and document continuously in our journal system VIVA. You belong to a department together with seven other colleagues, and when you have resource shifts, you also work in other departments that have needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained care assistant and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You need to be open to receiving medication delegation and have experience with documentation. We prefer that you have previously worked in elderly care and with people with dementia. It is also an advantage if you have training in dementia.

In this role, flexibility is important as you may work in different departments. We also see that you are confident in your role as a care assistant and can handle stressful situations. As a person, you are patient and have a positive attitude. You have good collaboration skills and can work both independently and together with colleagues. You have a good approach towards colleagues, users, and relatives, and create good relationships.
