Welcome to the midwifery clinic and specialist maternity care at Mälarsjukhuset. We are a team of approximately 30 people distributed across Mälarsjukhuset and 5 family centers in Eskilstuna and Strängnäs. The midwifery clinic and specialist maternity care are organized under the women's clinic. We have a close collaboration with our delivery and maternity unit. Our shared vision is high competence, good accessibility, flexibility, and friendliness!

The women's clinic at Mälarsjukhuset/Kullbergska hospital, together with Nyköpings lasarett, is responsible for women's healthcare in Region Sörmland. At Mälarsjukhuset/Kullbergska hospital's women's clinic, over 200 people work. Our focus is on developing teamwork together with our various professional groups. Within the women's clinic, there is a well-developed obstetric and gynecological inpatient and outpatient care with an administrative unit. Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna is the largest of our four hospitals in Sörmland.

We are currently looking for a colleague who could complement our group.

Your Responsibilities

At the midwifery clinic, you will work independently in a varied and stimulating environment in close collaboration with colleagues such as midwives, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, and secretaries. Your role at the midwifery clinic includes telephone counseling, cervical screening, leading parent groups, regular visits to the midwife during pregnancy, and contraceptive counseling.

We work with an activity board to continuously improve and work towards our goals - Safe patients, smooth journey through care, and proper utilization of resources. In the workgroup, we have a warm and permissive climate, and a helping hand is never far away. We compile weekly newsletters every week so that everyone can share what is happening and receive the same information at the same time. Structured reception meetings every week, APT once a month for increased participation. We share our knowledge, experiences, and are very curious about others.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed midwife with prescribing rights. We are looking for someone who is engaged, flexible, and has an easy time building relationships. It is important that you enjoy working in a team. Collaboration skills are a given for you and a prerequisite for your satisfaction.

You preferably have experience from maternal health care and/or delivery/maternity. You have a supportive and empathetic approach and a particular interest in people's diverse needs during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Temporary employment from 2026-05-01 to 2027-08-31.
