About Us

The Oncology Clinic Sörmland is a regional clinic covering the entire Sörmland area. Our ambition is to provide the highest competence and quality in caring for, curing, treating, and nursing patients in Sörmland who have been affected by tumor diseases. Radiation therapy is performed at Mälarsjukhuset, while medical treatments and nursing consultations take place at both Mälarsjukhuset and Nyköpings lasarett. Doctor consultations are primarily conducted at Mälarsjukhuset. The oncology department is located in bright facilities built in 2018 above the Cancer Center. This means that the oncological services are consolidated in one building, providing good logistics for our patients and staff. The department has 22 care places and handles both acute and planned admissions.

Your Responsibilities

The role involves working closely with the head of the department as an assistant unit manager. Together with the unit manager, you will lead, organize, and develop the ongoing work with the unit's staff. Your responsibilities include personnel, finance, and work environment within the unit. You will also be involved in planning, leading, and developing the organization in a way that benefits the patient, the operation, and the staff. In addition to the region's common support functions, you will have HR and a controller connected to your unit to assist you in your work. You will be part of the management team for the oncology clinic, which entails a shared responsibility to drive the operation forward with the current goals. The position includes clinical duties of about 30% as a nurse on the ward, including weekend shifts every 5th weekend.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with experience in inpatient care. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a managerial or leadership position. We are looking for someone who is present, attentive, and flexible in their leadership. It is important that you are collaborative, can spread enthusiasm, and have a natural ability to cooperate within and outside the organization.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. The position will be as a nurse with the role of assistant unit manager. The assignment runs for 2 years at a time.
