About us

The psychiatric clinic in Eskilstuna is a general psychiatric outpatient clinic for the population of Eskilstuna municipality. We belong to the psychiatric clinic at Mälarsjukhuset and are centrally located within walking distance to trains and buses. About 60 dedicated employees work here – nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, caregivers, and medical secretaries. We are organized into five teams: ADHD, bipolarity, extended psychiatric interventions (UPI), and two general psychiatric teams. Teamwork is at the core of our operations, and we have an open climate where we support each other and share knowledge.

Your responsibilities

Outpatient work during the day, Monday to Friday. As a nurse with us, you will work closely with patients and be an important part of the team. Your tasks are varied and include:

• Nursing assessments and care planning
• Telephone counseling and support contacts
• Medication management, injections, and medication adjustments
• Caring conversations and collaboration with care neighbors and the municipality
• Administrative tasks related to patient care.

We work with individual care plans to increase patient involvement and have regular evaluations and treatment conferences to shorten the pathways to decisions.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse (preferably with further education in psychiatry)
• Is confident, responsible, and enjoys working in a team
• Has a professional approach and a holistic view of the individual
• Is curious, unpretentious, and sees the value in different perspectives.
