The people you meet are of different ages and have different care needs. The need exists throughout the Eskilstuna municipality. This means that we work both in the city and in the countryside. We work days, evenings, weekends, and nights.

You will be employed at one of our workplaces and receive a schedule of 75% or more, for at least four summer weeks. We will prioritize those who can work on a schedule, but for those who cannot work during a full scheduled period, there may be an opportunity to work on an hourly basis as needed during the summer.

Personal Assistance/Child Personal Assistance

Here you support a person with a disability to live the life they wish. This can involve everything from care to leisure activities. It depends on the needs, possibilities, and habits of the person. Often you work alone and do 24-hour shifts.

Social Psychiatry

Here you work to support and motivate people with mental disabilities. This may mean that they have, for example, anxiety, depression, and/or substance abuse issues. You can work in a residence, within the night patrol, or at the home of users as housing support.

LSS

As a staff member within LSS, you support adults with disabilities in their daily lives. You assist the residents with everything from motivational conversations and activities to personal care. Always with a focus on creating safety, independence, and a good quality of life.

LSS-Children

Here you support children and adolescents with disabilities either at home as a respite caregiver/guide, at short-term housing, leisure activities, or in residential care, so they have a stimulating, safe, and developing everyday life. Job responsibilities include care, household chores, and contributing to creating a meaningful leisure time. We work based on each child's individual needs and interests.

Care and Nursing Home

Here, individuals live in an apartment or room where they can receive service and care around the clock. You work to provide care and support to those living here. There are different types of accommodations such as elderly care, dementia care, and short-term care. The service group also belongs to VOB. There is solitary work.

Home Care

Here you provide support, personal care, and service in the users' homes so they can stay at home. You work in one of our areas where you cycle or drive. The night patrol is also included in home care.

Before your employment, you will undergo 1 to 2.5 days of training, so you feel secure before the summer job starts. This includes method exercises with support from nursing teachers, specialist nursing assistants, and support pedagogues.

As of March 1, 2026, new legal requirements will apply, which means we will request a criminal record extract before employment can be offered.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be able to work with us, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Speak and write good Swedish, as it is important that you understand our users and the workplace's routines.
  • Have good experience with digital tools since there is a lot of documentation involved.

For certain workplaces, you need to:

  • Be a trained nursing assistant (with protected professional title).
  • Have a B driver's license and your own car to get to the workplace.
  • Be able to cycle (applicable for work within home care).
  • Speak Finnish.

It is an advantage if you have experience in care work or have worked with individuals with physical or mental disabilities.

Creating contact with people comes naturally to you, and you enjoy talking to the individuals you meet. With patience and attentiveness, you listen to understand their feelings and needs. Initiative, keeping your promises, and good cooperation are also important qualities in you.
