We are now looking for an operations manager pharmacist or pharmacy technician for the pharmaceutical supply within the Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Center. The Hospital Pharmacy delivers medicines to Mälarsjukhuset Eskilstuna, Nyköpings lasarett, and the hospitals in Katrineholm, namely Kullbergska sjukhuset and Regionsjukhuset Karsudden. The mission of the Hospital Pharmacy includes pharmaceutical supply with medicine deliveries and pharmaceutical services as well as the preparation of cytostatics and other sterile preparations. About thirty employees work at the hospital pharmacy, some of whom are located at Nyköpings lasarett. On May 1, 2026, Region Sörmland will take over the pharmaceutical supply in-house.

As an employee at the Hospital Pharmacy, you will be part of the Pharmaceutical Center. The Pharmaceutical Center has an overarching responsibility for pharmaceutical issues within Region Sörmland. We strive to promote evidence-based, cost-effective, and patient-safe use of medicines. The mission of the Pharmaceutical Center includes, in addition to the operations of the Hospital Pharmacy, among other things, work with the pharmaceutical committee, education and information activities, clinical pharmacy, management of pharmaceutical templates in Cosmic, quality review of medication management, development of routines for medication management, and pharmaceutical procurement. Approximately sixty employees work at the Pharmaceutical Center.

Your Responsibilities

You will work together with a team of engaged and skilled employees whom you will lead in daily operations. You will closely collaborate with the operations manager for medication preparation, the unit manager for the Hospital Pharmacy, and the quality managers for the operations, all of whom are part of the management team.

In your role as operations manager, you will be responsible for daily operations and participate in the daily work. You will lead and plan the operations. You will also help develop the Hospital Pharmacy's services to meet the needs of healthcare. You will ensure that the work is carried out safely for patients with high quality. Through your leadership, you will create conditions for your team to feel good and thrive. You may also have other tasks that may vary based on experience and interest.

The Hospital Pharmacy's opening hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays. The preparation pharmacists are also on call at home at other times.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician. You have a genuine interest in pharmaceutical supply issues and how pharmaceutical services can be developed to meet the needs of healthcare.

• You lead a workgroup with engagement, humility, courage, and responsiveness.
• You have a very good ability to collaborate, motivate, and cooperate with others.
• You are confident in your professional role, pedagogical, and enjoy working in teams with different professions.
• You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have a good ability to communicate.
• You are flexible and have a good ability to prioritize while seeing the big picture.
• You are responsible and customer-oriented.

We place great importance on your personal qualities as we are keen to find the right person for the position.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience in preparation activities.

Job Requirements:

• Licensed pharmacist or licensed pharmacy technician.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in pharmaceutical supply
• Experience in a supervisory role/function
• Experience in personnel responsibility and scheduling.

Employment Type
