We are looking for someone with a great interest in textiles who wants to take the opportunity to become part of our organization for approximately one year in a temporary position!

Working side by side with healthcare in Region Skåne is a significant and challenging task. As a service provider, Regionservice operates in a complex environment where the importance of correct flows, functioning logistics, and high service levels affects how well healthcare succeeds in its mission to provide patients with good and safe care. Here, Regionservice is an important resource. The production area consists of meals and laundry. Production occurs both through our own facilities and in collaboration with external partners.

The laundry facility in Region Skåne is responsible for all textile management for healthcare in Skåne. We work with sustainable, quality-assured, and efficient textile solutions to ensure that healthcare personnel and patients have the clothing and textiles they need. At the laundry facility located in Kristianstad, approximately 150 tons of textiles are washed in a normal week, which corresponds to over 1700 deliveries. Laundry and Textiles currently have over 1400 customers throughout the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the quality and textile manager, you have overall responsibility for Region Skåne's textile stock. You work strategically and operationally with textiles within healthcare, which includes personal clothing, patient clothing, bedding textiles, and surgical textiles. Your work includes procurement, ongoing purchases, quality monitoring, customer dialogue, returns and recycling of textiles, as well as market monitoring. You collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the availability of textiles for healthcare and are part of the area's management group.

Your main responsibilities as a quality and textile manager include:

  • Being responsible for Region Skåne's textile stock and ensuring availability and quality.
  • Planning and conducting procurements and ongoing purchases of textiles together with the purchasing department.
  • Monitoring quality, functionality, and sustainability of textiles in collaboration with suppliers and operations.
  • Maintaining ongoing dialogue with customers and users of textiles to understand needs and development opportunities in close collaboration with production.
  • Working with the reuse and recycling of textiles as part of Region Skåne's sustainability efforts.
  • Participating in various forums and networks within the textile industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an education in textile technology, purchasing, economics, or other education and experience that we deem relevant for the position. You have good computer skills and knowledge in using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. Furthermore, you have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Knowledge of systematically working with quality monitoring is advantageous. Experience in customer dialogue and/or contract monitoring is also desirable. Additionally, it is preferred if you have previous experience working with textiles.

To be considered for the position, you must have a genuine interest in textiles and be engaged in your work. You have good administrative skills and are analytical with a holistic perspective that enables you to handle complex situations and contexts effectively. Furthermore, you are used to collaborating and cooperating with both management and colleagues to achieve good results. To be successful in the role, you need to be a communicative and attentive person who sees the value in creating and maintaining good relationships with consideration for your colleagues. You are self-driven and proactive in your role and work as a good example that motivates and inspires those around you. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
