The Surgical Outpatient Clinic in Malmö has moved to new, modern premises in the new hospital area in Malmö. Here we meet patients in need of various types of surgical treatment. We work with everything from gallstone diseases and various hernias to inflammatory bowel diseases, advanced issues from the rectum, stoma care, and breast surgery. The variation in patient flow makes the work both diverse and stimulating, and you get to utilize the full breadth of your competence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to our dedicated team at the stoma clinic. Here you will work as a nurse or stoma therapist closely with patients who have undergone surgery and received a stoma, supporting them in an important part of their recovery.

You will be part of the stoma team where you work closely with your colleagues and experience a great joy in work as we support and help each other. The stoma team includes independent work in outpatient care with follow-up after surgery, support conversations, and telephone advice. You will follow the stoma-operated patients who are in our departments during their hospital stay. The work also includes preoperative information to patients undergoing both emergency and elective surgeries. As a nurse or stoma therapist at the stoma clinic, you will be offered a stimulating work environment with good development opportunities.

The stoma team is facing changes and improvements for our patients, which may mean that you as a nurse will be part of improvement work and eventually participate in training staff on stoma care.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. We consider it an advantage if you are a trained stoma therapist and/or have experience working in surgery.

As a person, you are secure in your professional role, responsible, and have the ability to make both large and small decisions. We value good collaboration skills, a strong commitment, and flexibility. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
