Committed General Practitioner for SMO Clinic in Kista

Are you passionate about person-centered care and want to make a real difference for patients with disabilities? We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced general practitioner for our SMO clinic in Kista – one of Region Stockholm's special clinics for coordinated medical care for patients with disabilities.

About the Role

The SMO clinics are a unique initiative within the region, offering a coordinated care model for patients with extensive disabilities and complex needs. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a way that truly makes a difference – with ample time, close teamwork, and structured conditions for continuity.

As a general practitioner at the SMO clinic, you will:

  • Work in a way that enables you to provide good care to a patient group with complex needs
  • Work with a smaller number of listed patients
  • Collaborate with a nurse
  • Have an independent role with great freedom under responsibility
  • Have the opportunity to work from home one day a week
  • Develop specialized skills in coordinated care
  • Receive patients for scheduled visits and annual check-ups
  • Conduct rounds at LSS housing
  • Participate in regular training, supervision, and exchange of experiences with other SMO clinics in Stockholm

Regular work as a district doctor at the health center may occur.

Kista health center is a well-functioning health center that has been in operation since 1977 with approximately 11,100 listed residents. We have doctors, district nurses, reception nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, receptionists, rehabilitation coordinators, and CBT psychologists working with us. Employment Type:

Permanent employment. Full-time. A lower working degree can be discussed if you as an applicant wish so. A probationary period may be applied. Start date by agreement.

Requirements:

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine and eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Experience of working in Swedish healthcare, preferably primary care, is an advantage. Experience with the TakeCare journal system is also an advantage.

For patient-related work within Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • Background checks will be applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • In addition to Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
