HR Partner at the Swedish Police Authority
Are you ready for a bigger task? The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,700 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
The North Police Region is the largest region in terms of area. The region consists of the four northernmost counties in Sweden and is organized into four police areas: Jämtland, Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and Västernorrland, which together are divided into 12 local police areas. Furthermore, there are three regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, and the investigation unit, a regional office, an HR section, a communications group, and national departments represented in the region to support police operations.
We are now looking for an HR Partner for the HR section based in Luleå.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an HR Partner, you support managers and leadership in fulfilling the delegated employer responsibility. You work closely with the operations and provide operational and strategic HR support across the entire HR area.
Your role includes coaching and providing qualified support to managers in areas such as:
- labor law
- work environment
- rehabilitation
- salary formation
- leadership
- competence supply
The HR partner participates and contributes in MBL forums and safety committees, engages in competence supply work, and is an adjunct when the management team meets monthly.
You participate in and drive change and development work, and are involved in implementing goals and strategies within the organization.
As an HR Partner, you are a close operational support and adapt your working methods based on the different needs and conditions of the managers. You contribute to creating structure, clarity, and quality in HR work and assist managers in their daily work to make well-informed decisions.
Together with HR colleagues, you plan and conduct training and information initiatives that strengthen the region's managers in their employer role with the aim of developing the operations and each manager in their leadership.
The assignment may also include participation in regional or national networks, projects, and development work, contributing your experience and expertise with the best interests of the Police Authority in focus. Responsibilities may evolve and change over time based on the needs of the operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- A university degree in HR or other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant
- Several years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written
- Strong knowledge of labor law
- Experience in union collaboration and negotiations
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Experience in a similar role within public sector and/or large and complex organizations
- Experience in driving development assignments
As you will work independently in this role in relation to the managers you support, the role requires you to be responsible and self-driven. You have the ability to create a comprehensive view to contribute and share perspectives. Furthermore, you need to be communicative and able to explain complex HR issues clearly and in a business-oriented manner.
You will have many different points of contact within the organization, and therefore we also see that you have excellent collaboration skills and are skilled in dialogue with managers, union representatives, and other functions.
The role also requires you to work in a structured manner and have good prioritization skills.
