The HR office, which is part of the municipal executive administration, is divided into three departments – HR department, payroll department, and our internal occupational health service.

We are now looking for a colleague who wants to work on an exciting assignment involving environmental scanning, analysis, change management, and organizational development.

About the role

The role of HR-controller involves participating in the strategic and long-term work to advance the organization's efforts as an attractive employer. You will be part of the HR department's staff function and collaborate closely with other skilled individuals both within and outside the administration. In the office, we support each other, and you will have great access to your colleagues' expertise and experience. As an HR-controller, you play a key role in creating and analyzing data to transform it into insights that strengthen the organization's work. You contribute directly to important decisions that affect the future development of Trollhättan City.

Responsibilities

As an HR-controller, you will help create and analyze relevant reports and key figures, as well as analyze data and identify trends to provide strategic insights and approaches to support decision-making. The HR-controller has many points of contact, both with management and other parts of the organization.

Examples of responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze HR-related key figures that visualize the organization's performance.
  • Conduct trend analyses of data to identify challenges and propose concrete solutions.
  • Be responsible for reporting and follow-up to management and politics.
  • Coordinate and develop annual cycle processes such as operational planning and mid-year follow-ups.
  • Contribute to the development of HR's digital structure, including innovation areas such as AI, where you will play a key role.
  • Drive improvement work in areas such as systematic work environment management and employee surveys.
  • Support the HR office with factual data for all HR processes where workforce supply is a key focus area.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who combines analytical sharpness with strategic thinking and a drive to develop the organization. You have the ability to see the big picture, analyze complex relationships, and make data accessible and usable for different target groups.

You have:

  • Relevant academic degree (in HR, social sciences, organizational development, or a similar field)
  • Experience in management and governance issues in the public sector
  • Experience in driving development issues
  • Experience working with statistics, follow-up, and analysis
  • Good analytical skills, familiarity with systems, and excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Experience in driving development work and projects is an advantage.

  • Communicative ability: You present data and conclusions in a pedagogical and convincing manner.
  • Innovative thinking: You are curious about developing new working methods, for example in AI and digitalization.
  • Collaborative ability: You build trusting relationships and create collaboration across departmental boundaries.

Employment information

The position is a temporary contract for about 12 months. In this recruitment, we will work with continuous selection.
