Social Worker for Investigation Group with Favorable Work-Life Balance – Experience Meaningful Work in Less Than 5 Days a Week!

From January 2024, we at Värmdö Municipality will implement a project where we will schedule working hours in 2024, 2025, and 2026 so that you as a social worker will work every 7th Friday.

You will have the other Fridays off.

In addition to scheduling, we offer a range of benefits such as bright and beautiful premises, free parking, and close leadership. You can easily commute to us in 30 minutes by direct bus from Slussen, which runs every 10 minutes. In our central town Gustavsberg, you will find our bright and fresh municipal building. If you choose to drive instead, the same distance takes about 20 minutes.

Do you want to help shape an improved social service? Värmdö Municipality is now looking for a temporary investigating social worker for the children and youth group aged 0-18 years.

We are looking for an engaged and experienced social worker for a parental leave position in our team working with children and youth. We offer a unique work environment focused on forward-leaning leadership and innovative digital solutions to reduce administration and maximize our time for direct client work.

We work with the Signs of Safety approach, in pairs, with close support from group leaders and strong cohesion within the group.

The goal of the operation is also to work closely with our adult unit and together meet our families for a cohesive social service.

We are looking for someone who has

  • a degree in social work
  • at least 2 years of experience as a social worker in child and youth services
  • a valid driver's license (B)

Preferred qualifications include

  • Training and experience working according to Signs of Safety
  • Training and good experience working with SIP

You are positive and solution-focused. You have a strong drive to do what is best for those we serve and for the organization as a whole, and you appreciate the varying pace that the work entails. You dare to think outside the box and want to participate in the development work of the organization. We place great importance on your personal suitability for the position.
