Värmdö is the meeting place of the archipelago with a unique combination of the serene beauty of nature and a more urban lifestyle. Our mission is not one but many: schools, real estate, social services, harbors, healthcare, libraries, care, and many more. We work to ensure that all residents of Värmdö can live a rich and free life. We want to be the ones who enable the dream of a vibrant and safe environment for homes, families, and businesses.
To succeed fully, we must have diverse competencies and work together for a common and trusting work culture, built on brave, responsible employees who understand the needs and wishes of the residents.
Are you looking for a fun and stimulating job? Are you searching for meaningful work where you can make a difference in people's everyday lives? We are now looking for another support assistant for our service housing focused on neuropsychiatry.
The service housing is located in Hemmesta with associated apartments for residents and a base apartment as a meeting point. You can easily and conveniently commute to our operations in Värmdö from Slussen in about 30 minutes, with a direct bus that runs every ten minutes.
As a support assistant, you are part of an engaged work group consisting of support assistants in the service housing and the municipality's housing supporters. No day is the same, and you are offered a varied job where you primarily meet individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities, mainly individuals with high-functioning autism. The role of the support assistant is to motivate and support individuals in their daily lives, in their homes, out in the community, and with, for example, authority and healthcare contacts. Social activities are also part of the assignment, both individual and group-based.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with people and who is a trained nursing assistant, mental health worker, social or treatment educator, or has other relevant education that the employer finds equivalent, e.g., a suitable university degree. You need experience working in the field and have worked with individuals with high-functioning autism, as well as knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches and MI. Since you will also be working with some housing support assignments, it is advantageous if you have experience in social psychiatry. A B driver's license is required.
Alongside experience and competence, you should be flexible, attentive, responsible, calm, positive, and have a pedagogical approach. We place great importance on your personal suitability and maturity, ability to be part of a team, take initiative, and work structured and independently. You should also be able to express yourself clearly and have a good ability to communicate in both spoken and written form as we have documentation responsibilities.
For these positions, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.
In Värmdö municipality, we offer wellness grants, SL cards against net salary deductions, vacation exchange for extra days off, and much more. We also actively work to create health-promoting workplaces with a good working environment and apply smoke-free working hours.

The employment is a permanent position. Start date by agreement. Working hours are mainly scheduled during the day but also include weekends and evenings according to a rotating schedule.
