I am a lively and cheerful 8-year-old boy living with my dad. I am looking for a respite caregiver who is warm, happy, and can bring initiatives for various activities. You need to be quick on your feet as I am quite energetic and enjoy being outside in the playground, swinging, and running around. I do not speak, but I make myself understood in my own way, using body language and signs.

You need to be attentive to my needs but also able to set reasonable boundaries. I have Autism and Epilepsy; it’s good if you have experience, but it’s not a requirement.

As a respite caregiver within Bambi, you are expected to initiate educational and stimulating activities. Respite services aim to relieve relatives in caring for children with disabilities and enable recovery.

You do not need to have previous experience in the profession, but it is a plus if you have experience with children or people with disabilities. As an employee at Bambi, you will have the opportunity for regular professional development and supervision as we want you to feel secure in your role.

Salary: Individual salary setting. Hourly/monthly salary. Collective agreement exists: Fremia-Kommunal. You will also be offered an introduction, wellness benefits, supervision, and continuous professional development.

Start date: As agreed. We will continuously call for interviews, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

To be employed as a respite caregiver or escort, you must have a valid extract from the criminal record. The police processing time can take up to two weeks - order your record extract as soon as possible.
