Vägga High School is looking for a school nurse – become part of our dedicated student health team!

We at Vägga High School are now looking for a school nurse who wants to contribute to the well-being and success of our students. The position is a temporary part-time role at 50% until June 18, 2026. Start date is March 16, 2026, or as agreed.

About the role

As a school nurse with us, you will play a key role in our student health team and work closely with both students and staff. Your work includes health conversations, health visits, vaccinations, open reception for students in need of support, and proactive work to promote good physical and mental health among our youth. Your position is placed under the education administration, but you will be stationed at Vägga High School. Here, you will be an important part of our commitment to a safe and health-promoting school environment. You will also collaborate with other school nurses and school doctors within the education administration.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. Previous experience as a school nurse is an advantage. You are a positive and attentive person with a genuine commitment to young people's health. Your ability to collaborate with others, take initiative, and find solutions is crucial for success in the role. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you fit into our team.

About Vägga High School

Vägga High School is Karlshamn Municipality's only municipal high school. The school is beautifully located in the Väggas beech forest, close to the sea, just a ten-minute walk from Karlshamn's square. We offer thirteen national programs, three programs at the adapted high school, and four introductory programs. The start date is according to agreement, and salary expectations should be stated in your application.
