Music Teacher for Stigtomta School

We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping High School, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping.

Nyköping is developing, construction is at an all-time high, more people are choosing to move here, and our school organization is growing. We are now looking for a music teacher for Stigtomta School.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations encompass 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed across seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and student health teams. With schools in both urban and rural areas, we work for increased equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language development approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About the Principal Area

In principal area D, there are three schools. Stigtomta School and Släbroskolan, which are F-6 schools, and Råby, which is an F-3 school. The principal area has about 750 students from preschool class up to grade 6, as well as associated after-school care. The principal area is expanding with the ongoing construction of Släbro, adapted for 700 students.

The school leadership group works closely together and consists of one principal and four deputy principals with clear areas of responsibility. The focus is on a well-functioning student health service and work towards increased goal fulfillment, where collegial learning is essential.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for teachers who want to make a difference in students' lifelong learning. We work according to the school's curriculum and use digital tools in the work with pedagogical documentation. As a teacher, you will be responsible for the pedagogical work in a grade, together with other teachers, teaching assistants, and study counselors in your team.

You will drive the subject orientation in music, and we welcome previous experience in lower and middle school teaching. The position is 30% employment rate.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching license with a focus on music.

You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the curriculum goals into your work. You are a present and collaborative educator who challenges and stimulates students to develop. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you.

You recognize the importance of everyone in the team being involved and working as a team. In order to develop student learning, you reflect with your colleagues on your and the team's pedagogical approaches. If you are new to the role, you will, in addition to collaborating with knowledgeable colleagues, have regular contact with one of our experienced mentors.

As of December 1, 2013, a teaching license requirement applies for permanent employment. Please attach your license to your application.
