Special Educator for Area A in Nyköping Municipality

We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping Gymnasium, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping. Nyköping is growing, and our school organization is developing in line with the municipality. We are now looking for a special educator for Area A.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations encompass 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed across seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and student health teams. With schools both in urban and rural areas, we work for increased equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language development approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About the Principal Area

The principal area includes Arnö School and Tunaberg School. Arnö School consists of the buildings Långsätter and Herrhagen, with about 300 students each from grades F–6. At Långsätter, there is also the adapted primary school with about 35 students. The school is located in a residential area with nature nearby.

Tunaberg School consists of Buskhyttan and Nävekvarn. Buskhyttan, 1.5 mil south of Nyköping, has 26 students in grades F–3 and an after-school program. Nävekvarn is located by Bråviken, about 2.5 mil from Nyköping, and has over 60 students in grades F–6.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You want to contribute to driving school development in Nyköping Municipality and care about our students, their education, development, and progress. The position involves ensuring students' goal fulfillment together with your colleagues through creativity, good leadership, and creating a safe environment.

Your tasks include leading the special education work at the school. Participate in and sometimes lead student health conferences and other meetings. Be involved in planning to offer all students a functioning school day. Teaching is part of your position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with special education training and good knowledge of assessment materials and screening plans. You have documented experience working with students in need of special support. A strong solution focus and high organizational skills are advantageous.

It is essential for us that you put the student and the student's success at the center.

They need to have stable leadership, good organizational and collaborative skills. Good experience of collaboration and coordination with other actors, e.g., social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation.

As of December 1, 2013, there are licensing requirements for permanent employment. Please attach your license to your application.
