We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping High School, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping. Nyköping is growing, and our school organization is developing in line with the municipality. We are now looking for a teacher in textile crafts for Östra skolan.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations encompass 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed across seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and student health teams. With schools in both urban and rural areas, we work for increased equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language development approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About the Principal Area

In area E, there are three schools: Dammlötskolan, Västra skolan, and Östra skolan. Dammlötskolan is a F-6 school in Runtuna just outside Nyköping with 125 students. Västra skolan is a F-3 school with 135 students, and Östra skolan is a F-6 school with 350 students. We collaborate across school boundaries so that we can develop together and create good conditions for our students in lifelong learning. Our focus areas are the language development approach and student participation, which is evident through having both a librarian and an ICT pedagogical support for regular teaching. We also invest in expanding student health with more special education at each school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Nyköping Municipality is looking for a crafts teacher who wants to make a difference for students in their lifelong learning. We work based on the school's curriculum and use digital tools in the work with pedagogical documentation. Our operations are characterized by a positive outlook, and we have a strong belief in the students' competencies.

As a teacher, you are responsible for the pedagogical work in one class and possibly in certain subjects in other classes, depending on how you in the work team want to distribute the subjects among yourselves. You work based on the curriculum and translate the goals into enjoyable and meaningful learning. You pay attention to the children's needs and interests and support them in their development both intellectually and socially. All students at the school are everyone's responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching degree with a focus on grades 4-6 and a license issued by the Swedish National Agency for Education. You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the curriculum's goals into your work. You have clear leadership and stand strong in your student groups. You are flexible, structured, and well-prepared. You are a present and co-researching educator who challenges and stimulates students to develop. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you. You have direct and humble communication with guardians and create trusting relationships with students and guardians.

You have a willingness to collaborate in work teams and see opportunities before difficulties. A positive attitude is something we value highly. Digital tools are a natural part of your teaching, and you work based on differentiated instruction.
