About the position

As an operating room nurse in Neuro Surgery, you are an important part of the entire surgical chain. The day begins by ensuring that all equipment and materials, including grids delivered via AGV carts, are in place. Together with a nursing assistant, you prepare the operating room and ensure that all technology is in order.

The patient is anesthetized and positioned correctly, often in Mayfield support, in close collaboration with the surgeon. This is followed by steps such as washing and dressing the patient as well as instrumentation throughout the procedure. After the surgery, you participate in the breakdown and dressing.

The work requires good planning skills, a willingness to collaborate, and an eye for detail – always with the patient's safety and care quality in focus.

Region Stockholm is currently conducting a pilot project that will last throughout 2026. The project entails an average weekly working time of 34 hours.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse with specialized training in operating room nursing

Meritorious:

• Experience from the operating department
• Experience with Orbit
• Experience in Take Care
• Knowledge of TESSA
