We are a medium-sized health center that belongs to SLSO, the Stockholm County Health Care Area. Barkarby Health Center is a very pleasant workplace with 25 permanently employed staff members. Currently, we have four specialists in general medicine, four resident physicians, and many other experienced staff. The health center is just a few minutes' walk from Barkarby commuter station. It takes about 15 minutes to Stockholm Central, and we also have free parking available within walking distance.

In addition to medical consultations, we offer our patients district nurse consultations, nurse consultations for diabetes, hypertension, memory issues, asthma/COPD, and lifestyle habits. We also provide home care, a near-laboratory, psychologists, and social workers at the health center.

Job responsibilities:

The work involves all tasks typically performed by physicians at a health center.

As a resident physician with us, you will work with both acute and planned patient consultations, where the broad general practitioner assignment is a base. We offer chat, video visits, and other digital contacts through Always Open. The work is varied and independent, and you will meet patients of all ages. The assignment includes supervision for 1 hour per week with a designated supervisor and other times with an “open door” for supervision when needed. Every week we have physician meetings where common questions and topics are discussed. The study director plays an important role in planning and organizing courses and rotations.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a licensed physician with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare. You have previous experience with the TakeCare journal system. Experience working in primary care is an advantage. You are now looking to take the next step in your specialist training in general medicine.

Employment form:

Permanent employment. Full-time 100%. Working hours Monday-Friday. Start date August 18 or by agreement. A probationary period may apply.

Personal qualities:

We place great importance on professional treatment of both patients and staff. You take personal responsibility for your patient work but also seek support when needed. Planning and coordination are familiar concepts for you. You are comfortable working independently and making your own decisions. We place great importance on personal suitability and that you fit into the workgroup.

• in addition to Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
