The Psychiatric Clinic is part of the Skellefteå Primary Care area, along with the Emergency Department, Center for Surgical Operations, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö municipalities. Together, we aim to provide good and close care.

The Psychiatric Clinic consists of approximately 250 employees. We provide both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as psychiatric compulsory care. We have 2 general psychiatric wards and one addiction ward. The outpatient care has several units including 2 adult reception centers, a reception for young adults, an addiction reception, the Emergency and Assessment Unit, and other specialized outpatient care units such as Reception 3.

At Psychiatric Reception 3, we are 16 employees with broad expertise consisting of psychologists, caregivers, and nurses. Within the reception, there are four smaller teams: the MBT team, which treats individuals with personality disorders; the Elderly team, which targets individuals over 68 years old with mental health issues; the Cs/ECT team, responsible for the clinic's ECT treatments and the initiation of central stimulants; and the Medication Service (MSE), which administers and evaluates medication treatments and follows up on lithium and central stimulants.

We are now looking for a nurse for Reception 3 who will work within the Medication Service (MSE).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work in an exciting and varied role in an organization under development.

The job at the Medication Service involves administering and evaluating medication treatments for patients who require close and regular contact with the clinic. This includes medication distribution, administering injection treatments, and following up on patients' well-being and any side effects from the initiated treatment.

The Medication Service is also responsible for the initiation and follow-up of patients treated with lithium and serves the clinic's sampling based on the Transport Agency's directives. The role also includes working outside of your own unit, including supporting ECT treatments.

You will work daytime hours, Monday to Friday. Since you will collaborate daily with the clinic's other receptions and wards, other healthcare providers, and sometimes also with patients' relatives, we are looking for someone who is good at collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse who has the ability to see the whole picture and the willingness to work in a workplace where the patient is always at the center. Other valuable qualities include teamwork and flexibility, as well as the ability to work independently but also in a team.

It is advantageous if you have further education in Psychiatry or work experience in Psychiatric care, as well as experience working in the Cosmic healthcare system.
