The community building operations consist of a large number of engaged employees who work together on urban planning, infrastructure, management of public spaces, environmental and health protection, and regulatory enforcement.

The position is placed within the department for operational support, which is responsible for finance, committee administration, quality work, and overall administrative support.

As a controller, you have a central role in planning, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the organization's finances. You provide qualified support to management and contribute to an efficient, sustainable, and qualitative operation with high goal achievement.

The operations include both tax-funded and fee-funded areas as well as development and investment projects that span several years. Therefore, the role requires a good understanding of financial management in complex public operations.

Your tasks include:

• Analyzing and interpreting finances for tax-funded and fee-funded operations as well as development and investment projects
• Driving the budget process, forecasting, reporting, and qualified analyses
• Identifying opportunities for cost-effectiveness and revenue improvement and proposing measures
• Ensuring financial monitoring of development and investment projects according to current regulations
• Preparing decision-making materials for audits and other inquiries
• Contributing to risk management and internal control
• Developing and ensuring the quality of financial processes, systems, and reporting tools
• Being an active support and sounding board for managers on financial issues

The role is both strategic and operational and involves close collaboration with managers and key personnel in the organization. You report to the department head.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in finance or equivalent
• Several years of experience as a controller, preferably within the public sector or another complex organization
• A good understanding of community building processes and experience in development and investment economics
• Good knowledge of municipal accounting and relevant regulations
• Very good analytical skills and system familiarity
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing

This is a full-time consulting assignment for 6 months starting immediately. You will be employed by us at OnePartnerGroup and will spend your workdays at our client just north of Stockholm.
