The Social Administration is one of the larger workplaces in the municipality. Within the Social Administration's Individual and Family Care (IFO), there are three units working with cases concerning children and families: an investigation unit, a placement unit, and a counseling and support unit. We are co-located with other units within IFO.

The Placement Unit consists of nine social workers, five foster care workers, one senior social worker, and one unit manager. The social workers work with children and young people placed in foster homes or other forms of care, such as HVB homes and support accommodations. The social workers also handle cases within open care, such as interventions in the form of family treatment, contact families, and contact persons. The Placement Unit has access to a unit assistant who serves all units within children and family.

The Placement Unit is a wonderful group of social workers who support each other and have close access to management. Well-being and job satisfaction are important for the Placement Unit, as is support from colleagues. We work with freedom under responsibility and can, in various ways, manage our workday based on what works best.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of social worker, your main task is to focus on the placed child and follow up on care to provide the child with a safe and secure everyday life. You create a supportive and trusting relationship with the child and represent the child in various contexts. You work closely with children and young people, guardians, and caregivers. You conduct continuous follow-ups and considerations about whether care outside the home is still needed.

You collaborate closely with the foster care workers, and you have follow-up meetings together. You will also cooperate with our other units in children and family as well as the adult unit. As a social worker, you are never alone in assessments but receive support from colleagues and management. Together with the group, you are part of developing the operations. We create an accessible and knowledge-based social service that is based on the needs of the children.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and has knowledge of applicable legislation, including SoL and LVU. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with children and families or exercising authority in other areas. It is also advantageous if you have training in BBIC.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For us, it is important that you are a secure and positive team player who can create sustainable relationships. You have a good ability to handle stressful situations and adapt well to prevailing circumstances. As a person, you are structured and flexible. Documentation is a recurring element, so you need to communicate well in both spoken and written Swedish. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
