Do you want close leadership, work closely with operations, and help shape the future of social services in a smaller municipality? We are now looking for a team leader for Social Services, Children and Family in Hultsfred Municipality.
The IFO Children and Family in Hultsfred works with investigations, placements, outpatient interventions, foster care, and preventive work for children, youth, and their families. We are a relatively small organization, which provides short decision-making paths, close collaboration between functions, and good knowledge of our families – but also a need for flexible solutions in our leadership.
About the Role
As a team leader, you will have an operational leadership role and be responsible for supporting, leading, distributing, and coordinating staff within the unit. How the role will be distributed among different functions is not yet fully established, but will be shaped based on the needs of the organization and the skills and experience you bring.
This may include leadership in:
- authority exercise (investigation and/or placement)
- outpatient interventions/treatment
- foster care
or a combination of the above.
You will work closely with team leaders and section managers and actively contribute to the development of the organization, particularly in relation to the new Social Services Act, preventive, easily accessible, evidence-based approaches, Signs of Safety, and collaboration.
Your Responsibilities
- Distribute, lead, and support staff in daily work
- Ensure quality, legal security, and a good working environment
- Participate in organizational development and change work
- Provide support in difficult cases and methodological questions
- Collaborate internally and externally
- Be a role model regarding the implementation of the new Social Services Act and Signs of Safety
We are looking for someone who
- has a degree in social work or other equivalent education
- has several years of experience working within IFO Children and Family
- has good knowledge of IFO Children and Family's areas of work
- is confident, relationship-building, and clear in your leadership
- embodies a developmental leadership style
It is advantageous if you have
- experience with development work
- experience in multiple areas within child and family
- experience working in smaller organizations where roles need to be flexible
Personal Qualities
We believe that you:
- thrive with breadth and variation
- are solution-focused and unpretentious
- have the ability to create trust and engagement
- see opportunities in shaping the role
- have a child-centered focus
We offer
- a meaningful role with great freedom of action
- the opportunity to influence and develop both the role and the organization
- close collaboration and short decision-making paths
- engaged colleagues and a warm working climate
