One of our youth counselors will be on parental leave, which is why we are now looking for a substitute. At Advice and Support, much of the preventive work of Social Services for children and families is carried out. We work both with commissioned cases after investigation and with cases where families and youth themselves turn to us for support. We offer a modern workplace with creative and developing tasks.

Advice and Support consists of eleven family counselors, four youth counselors, one senior counselor/team leader, six family law secretaries, and one unit manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a youth counselor, you work preventively and with treatment for youth aged 13-18 years and their families. This can occur through conversations or activities both individually and in groups. Many of the youth we meet exhibit norm-breaking behavior in the form of criminality, problematic school absenteeism, or other destructive behavior. We want to intervene early to break such development. In our work, we collaborate with various community actors such as the police, schools, leisure services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and social services.

The work involves some documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker, social pedagogue, or has another equivalent education. It is beneficial if you have experience in treatment work and bring a systems-theoretical perspective. If you have training and/or experience in System Theory, CBT, ART, RePuls, or ACRA, that is a plus. Language skills are also appreciated.

As it is important that you fit into the team, we will look at personal suitability. We appreciate qualities such as personal security, a positive outlook, creativity, and good problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who can work in a structured manner, adapt to prevailing circumstances, and be a good team player.

As documentation is a recurring element, you need to communicate well in spoken and written Swedish. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
