Your Responsibilities

In the LSS group, we work across the municipality with individuals of varying ages, both children and adults who have been granted personal assistance. For this assignment, we are looking for personal assistants to work with adults.

The work as a personal assistant means that you are a support in the individual's daily life and assist with what the individual cannot manage on their own.

As a personal assistant, you work from a motivating approach, focusing on supporting the individual in their daily life to maintain and improve their own abilities. The work is characterized by a social perspective where the individual's needs are at the center. As a personal assistant, you will also support the individual in achieving a meaningful daily life, where security and responsiveness are important guiding principles.

The work as a personal assistant offers you a varied profession that is not the same from one day to the next. The work will initially be during the day and every other weekend.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant education to work with individuals with disabilities and who has a genuine interest in people. We seek someone who is flexible, creative, positive, cooperative, and has the ability to see solutions and opportunities. You should be able to work independently and take great responsibility.

A positive attitude and a good approach are very important. We place great value on engagement in the work and a willingness to contribute to the best for the organization and the individual.

The position requires you to have basic IT skills to work with the systems we use. You must also have basic knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Other Requirements

For this position, it is a requirement that you have a B driver's license.

To be considered for employment in Västervik municipality, a police record extract must be presented.
