JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who are a support pedagogue or a support assistant with extensive experience in working with children according to LSS and who wants to help build something new with us.

Our children's activities have recently moved into newly renovated premises, and now we are facing an exciting fresh start. This is a position for you who want to be involved in shaping the future of the operation from working methods and routines to pedagogical development and content in everyday life.

In this role, you will work closely with the children in daily support and contribute to creating a safe, structured, and stimulating environment where each child is given the opportunity for participation, development, and independence. Daily work with the children includes motivating interventions, care based on each child's individual needs, as well as delegated tasks from health and medical staff. In your specific role, you are also:

  • Documentation representative, which means you have an overarching responsibility for social documentation, implementation plans, risk analyses, and action plans.
  • Pedagogically responsible and responsible for pedagogical development work at the individual and group level.
  • Driving, together with the unit manager and colleagues, issues related to values and the systematic quality work of the operation.
  • Assisting the unit manager in follow-up questions regarding measures after deviations, quality assurance, and process compliance.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of children in the operation, together with the appointed contact person.
  • Responsible for keeping yourself updated/monitoring the field and sharing new knowledge with your colleagues at APT, group meetings, planning days, supervision, etc.
  • Responsible for using, developing, and individually adapting pedagogical methods in the everyday work with children and youth to increase participation and independence, inspiring your colleagues to do the same.

The assignment is performed both as a natural part of the regular work with the children and during specifically allocated, directed time in the schedule where you focus on the developmental and quality-promoting aspects of the assignment. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call.

With us, you will be part of an engaged team where we take advantage of each other's experiences and ideas. We want to create a workplace where it is meaningful, developing, and fun to work, and where you as an employee truly have the opportunity to influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education as a support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education deemed necessary by the employer.
  • Experience in structured work with pedagogical methods such as AAC or Tactile Sign Language.
  • Experience working with children, youth, and adults with autism diagnosis/intellectual disabilities and/or other disabilities for at least 3 years.
  • Experience in documenting, establishing, and following up implementation plans.
  • Proficient in the Swedish language in speech and writing, as well as having good IT skills in various systems.
  • A B driver's license for manual transmission is required, as well as driving experience and having held your license for at least 2 years.

The work places high demands on working pedagogically in a structured and clarifying manner; we use AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) and Tactile Sign Language in daily work to create structure and predictability for the children and youth.

You have experience in mapping needs and planning and implementing development work based on individual needs grounded in clarifying pedagogy.

You require patience and sensitivity to engage, motivate, and guide children and youth in their daily lives. You have prior experience with clarifying pedagogy, digital competence in various visual support programs such as Inprint or Widgit online, and low-arousal responses.

You convey a sense of security in daily work, you are responsible and have personal maturity. You have a professional attitude towards the target group, their networks, and your colleagues. This entails good collaboration skills where you share your competence, experience, and contribute to a positive work climate.
