YILPORT Gävle is responsible for the operational activities at Gävle port. They operate Sweden's third largest, and the east coast's largest, container terminal as well as a large bulk terminal. Gävle port is strategically located in close proximity to the industrial-heavy region of Central Sweden. YILPORT Gävle handles bulk and container goods as well as warehousing for its customers. The terminal has several stations for containerizing goods and is dedicated to helping its customers with new innovative solutions.

About the position

YILPORT Gävle is looking for a driven Logistics Specialist, on an hourly basis, as needed for extra workforce, to strengthen our team of logistics specialists at Gävle port.

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be an important cog in maintaining and developing the terminal's capacity and processes together with your colleagues. Innovation and a drive to streamline and improve are a given for this role. In addition, you will serve as an important link between customers, employees, and the operational activities.

Your daily tasks will include planning incoming goods, warehousing, and deliveries. You will also work with customer support, traffic planning, freight handling, and invoicing for the various assignments.

Qualifications

· Relevant education in logistics or equivalent work experience

· Experience in logistics and delivery planning in both the long and short term

· Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

· Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Good communication skills over the phone and email.

· Knowledge of inventory management is an advantage

The position is an hourly employment, as needed for extra workforce with the possibility of summer employment.
