New year – new position? Do you want to help shape the future church life in the heart of Småland? Växjö Cathedral is now looking for an assistant pastor who wants to contribute to a vibrant cathedral with a rich liturgical life, volunteer engagement, and a place for deepening.

Växjö is a rapidly growing city, with many students at Linnaeus University – many international and curious about Christian contexts. We want to reach people of all ages but see a particular need to find new ways to meet and engage young people, beyond the important confirmation work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident in the pastoral role and enjoys the variety of life around a cathedral, which encompasses a wide range of people and liturgical expressions. You have the ability to switch between intimate, low-key conversations and larger liturgical contexts, maintain an open attitude, and are comfortable representing the breadth of traditions within the Church of Sweden. You have a good ability to express yourself in more languages than Swedish and want to create meeting places characterized by diversity, participation, and the development of the church's mission in our time.

We are looking for someone who:
