Do you want to work with architecture and design at an airport? Swedavia is currently seeking a temporary employee for the role of Design Manager from June 2026 to September 2027 to ensure and continue developing our identity in the physical environment through architecture, design, and art!

What does the role entail?

As a Design Manager at Swedavia, you will manage and further develop Swedavia's brand with a focus on architecture and design in the physical environment. The role involves creating a cohesive identity through design strategy and manuals for the physical environment, in close collaboration with operations and projects, using elements such as architecture, materiality, color, form language, lighting, sound, art, and interior design that together influence the experience of the atmosphere at a physical location where Swedavia's various target groups are present.

As a Design Manager, you play an important role in contributing to a strong brand, good customer experiences, and sustainable profitability.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, we see that you have...

• Relevant education in architectural or interior design

• Experience in design management at a strategic level in a branding agency, architectural firm, or similar, with broad experience from physical public, commercial environments, and meeting places

• Experience in project management or participation in large complex projects with many stakeholders

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Experience in airport environments is a merit

As a person, you think strategically and commercially with a broad perspective on issues and have the ability to see the whole picture. You are a relationship builder who enjoys social interactions and building networks internally and externally. You are a skilled communicator who can convey complex information to different target groups. In this role, you will have many points of contact, which means that collaboration skills and structure will be important for you to thrive and succeed.
