We offer you a responsible, varied, and interesting job at the occupational therapy and physiotherapy department at the County Hospital in Kalmar.

You will primarily work in our outpatient care with patients suffering from traumatic knee injuries (mainly ligament injuries) before and after surgery, as well as patients with shoulder and elbow issues, before and after surgery/trauma. You will follow the patients throughout their postoperative rehabilitation. You will work alongside four other physiotherapists. You will also provide assistance in other departments as needed.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may occur, approximately four weekends per year.

About you

You are a licensed physiotherapist. We prefer that you have experience working in orthopedic outpatient care. As a person, you are self-driven, take initiative, and are flexible. You enjoy collaborating with others, are solution-oriented, and structured in your work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Your future workplace

The occupational therapy and physiotherapy department is part of Rehab Söder. The unit employs approximately 28 physiotherapists, 14 occupational therapists, 2 rehab assistants, and 1 administrator. We work in both inpatient and outpatient care. The role of physiotherapist is independent but also involves close collaboration with other professionals within the unit and staff at clinics/wards.

Rehab Söder is tasked with providing rehabilitative services to citizens in southern Kalmar County at both specialist and primary care levels. The unit is also responsible for the region's dietitian services in the southern part of the county and for the social work services at the County Hospital in Kalmar. Services should be provided in collaboration with other care providers and the patient's social network when necessary. The goal is for our services to lead to maintained or improved health.

The County Hospital in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. It is an emergency hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and postnatal care. Over 2300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents. Our employees' continuous development efforts lead to good results in several national measurements.
