The Eye Clinic offers a developing and varied job as a nurse consisting of team reception work, individual consultations, telephone advice, and the opportunity to join the surgical team.

We are a welcoming staff group with an open climate. Here, there are good opportunities to develop within advanced eye care. At the clinic, we have about 60 employees working together; ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses, nursing assistants, administrators, and medical secretaries. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday during the day.

The position is permanent at the County Hospital with the first placement at the eye clinic for 1 year.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience in the profession. As a person, you are flexible, work well with others, and have a good ability to structure your work. You thrive in high patient flows, are open to learning new things, and want to develop in eye care. Experience in surgery is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your Future Workplace

The clinic provides specialized eye care for residents and visitors in the southern parts of the county, as well as highly specialized care in the form of surgery in the posterior segment of the eye for the county and also patients from surrounding regions. In addition to a reception unit with outpatient investigation and treatment of diseases in the anterior and posterior segments of the eye, the clinic also has its own operating department where surgeries for cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid changes, etc., are performed.

The largest activities at the clinic are diagnostics and treatment of cataracts and glaucoma, diabetes-related changes treated with laser, diseases of the macula, eye diseases in children, as well as surgery for retinal detachments and other diseases in the posterior parts of the eye. The clinic also has a habilitation/rehabilitation unit in the form of a vision center, which is responsible for prescribing and training in visual aids.
