Are you looking for a varied and meaningful summer job?
We are now looking for assistance officers/social workers!
Who are we?
The main mission of the Care and Welfare Office is to meet the needs for support, care, and assistance for people at different stages of life. Value is created in the meeting!
Together, we create a meaningful and secure everyday life for all who need our help. The foundation of our work is a person-centered approach where the work is guided and based on the user's needs.
In the authority's operations, assistance officers, occupational therapists, coordinators, and administrators work closely together to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for those we serve. We handle services according to the Social Services Act, such as home care, special housing, short-term accommodation, and security alarms. Our starting point is always a rehabilitative approach to provide the best possible help to our citizens.
We are located in centrally located premises at Lindövägen 5A, with proximity to public transport. Our team values a good working environment and good collaboration; we are now looking for engaged colleagues who want to make a difference together with us!
Your tasks
As an assistance officer/social worker (depending on your level of education), you will investigate and assess the need for support and help based on applications and applicable legislation, case law, and working methods. You will conduct individual needs assessments and make decisions about the services needed to ensure a reasonable standard of living.
In your work, you will collaborate with the user, internal and external partners, and relatives to ensure good and safe care. Additionally, you will support and guide users and their relatives throughout the process so that they receive the help they are entitled to.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You may also be pursuing studies in the field. You have good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL). Furthermore, you have experience in social work where you have met people in vulnerable situations. We view positively if you have experience in authority operations, preferably within elderly care.
As a person, you are attentive and empathetic with a genuine interest in helping others. You adapt your communication based on who you are meeting and ensure that your message has been received.
You are skilled at independently planning your work and ensuring progress in your cases. Furthermore, we see that you have the ability to make sound decisions and document clearly and accurately.
In collaboration with others, you contribute with a positive attitude where you share your knowledge and experience with the team. Since we work with people, we also see that you can remain calm and make wise priorities even in stressful situations.
The position requires that you have good computer skills, good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and that you hold a B driver's license for manual transmission.
Welcome with your application!
