Häsängsskolan and Stråningstorpsskolan are part of the school administration and are located in the southern part of Karlskoga. Häsängsskolan has about 85 students and Stråningstorpsskolan has about 260 students. Our students start at Häsängsskolan and attend preschool class and grade 1 there before moving to Stråningstorpsskolan where they attend grades 2-6. We have a close collaboration between the schools as we are one unit. We have quick access to decisions and a culture where we support, complement, and learn from each other. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teacher in after-school care, you have overall responsibility for planning, leading, and developing the teaching in after-school care with the goal of creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

During the school day, you are an active and present educator in class, smaller groups, and during breaks. Depending on your qualifications, you may also be responsible for a specific subject.

You will have close and daily collaboration with the school's staff.

Your tasks also include:

  • contact with guardians
  • collaboration with the student health team, school management, and external parties
  • school-wide values work
  • teamwork
  • working and documenting in the existing operational systems
  • analysis of teaching and results.

Your working hours are scheduled between 06:00 and 18:00.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher in after-school care.

To contribute to the school's continued digital development, you are expected to have good IT skills and easily take on digital systems. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with students, colleagues, and guardians, and that you can document what the operations require in writing.

You are a confident and stable leader in both the classroom and in after-school activities. You easily create and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You value and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and solution-oriented approach.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in schools or after-school care.

It is also an advantage if you have experience:

  • planning and conducting break activities
  • with students in need of support within the neuropsychiatric area.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Background check

To work in preschools, schools, and youth and leisure activities, you must, according to the law on background checks, provide a background extract from the police's criminal record. You must request the extract from the National Police Board using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record" in the form archive from the police's website.
