Sydnärkes Education Association is a municipal association located in Hallsberg, with Askersund, Hallsberg, and Laxå as member municipalities. On behalf of the member municipalities, we lead and are responsible for upper secondary education, adult education, and commissioned education. We offer 12 national upper secondary programs, introductory programs, and adapted upper secondary school. In addition, we also conduct adult education at Allévux.
We have a total of approximately 1,800 students, of which 1,300 are at Alléskolan and 500 at Allévux. We have around 300 employees, and in daily work, support is available in the form of functions such as administration, HR, finance, and IT. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a special educator for adapted upper secondary school to teach grades 1-4, primarily in subjects such as mathematics and natural science, but teaching in other subjects may occur. You who apply for the position want to contribute to students' learning and development through good teaching. As a teacher, you see opportunities based on students' individual conditions and have the ability to work systematically with planning and follow-up. You can communicate in various ways, including through pictures and support signs, to build relationships with students and provide more ways for students to absorb teaching. You also have the ability to collaborate professionally with colleagues and facilitate for teaching assistants to contribute to students' knowledge development.
As a teacher, you are part of a working group and teaching team where you have the opportunity to contribute and develop through collegial learning in various ways. We work together to create a safe and accessible learning environment that enables our students to reach as far as possible based on their conditions and be well-prepared for life after school.
To thrive with us, we believe you need to have a great curiosity about each student, easily recognize and highlight the student's strengths, and easily create trusting relationships with students and guardians by seeing, listening, motivating, and supporting. You are confident in your teaching role and driven to find different paths through school and out into life for each individual student. In the role of teacher, mentorship and supporting students in other teaching situations are also included.
This position primarily targets the common subjects of the national programs in the adapted upper secondary school.
The position will be shaped based on your qualifications, experience, and other qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is qualified to teach in the national programs of upper secondary school. If you are not qualified but have a primary teacher degree, vocational knowledge, and relevant experience for the assignment, you are welcome to apply, provided that you have the ambition to complete qualifying education.
It is advantageous if you have experience working with national programs in adapted upper secondary school or teaching in subject areas in adapted primary school.
Personal qualities:
We would like you to have good collaboration skills as you will work closely with both teaching colleagues, teaching assistants, and student health staff. To succeed in this role, you should also be communicative and pedagogical to adapt teaching and meet students' various conditions. You plan and organize your work effectively and take responsibility for the whole while being structured, flexible, and having a positive and professional approach in meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We ask that you attach your teaching license/special educator degree to your application.
Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously.
