Sandvik School is located in the eastern part of Karlskoga and is a F-6 school consisting of two classes in each grade. We have three after-school care departments at the school. In grades 2-6, there are three teachers (team teaching system) working with two classes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in after-school care, you have overall responsibility for planning, leading, and developing the teaching in after-school care with the goal of creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

During the school day, you are an active and present educator responsible for teaching students in grades 4-6 in music. You have close daily collaboration with the school's staff.

Your responsibilities include:

  • planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching in the subjects you are responsible for
  • analyzing teaching and results
  • contact with guardians
  • contributing to school development
  • collaborating with the student health team, school management, and external parties
  • school-wide values work
  • teamwork, co-planning
  • working and documenting in the existing operational systems

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in after-school care with qualifications to teach music.

You are a confident and stable leader both in the classroom and in after-school activities. You find it easy to create and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You value and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and solution-oriented approach. You are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and analyze students' learning as well as your teaching structure effectively to achieve desired results.

To contribute to the school's continued digital development, you are expected to possess good IT skills and easily adapt to digital systems. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with students, colleagues, and guardians, as well as document what the operations require in writing.

Experience from work in schools or after-school care is an advantage.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
