Your Responsibilities

As a support pedagogue, you work together with support assistants to support employees in their daily work through a pedagogical approach and a low-arousal response. The role involves working in daily production with the employee, but also finding suitable tasks based on each individual's abilities and interests. This may involve creating appropriate individual schedules, checklists, and plans to support the person's own abilities. The goal is to provide employment that, based on the individual's abilities and wishes, enhances self-esteem and increases confidence. The pedagogical work is characterized by working to strengthen the individual's participation and independence as much as possible.

In the morning, you and your colleagues gather to go through the day. You then receive the employees and support them in performing production work. This may involve assisting them in getting started with their work, showing how to perform certain tasks, and double-checking. Throughout the day, you also provide support in encouraging and motivating the employee in cases where motivation decreases. Therefore, you become an important part of creating a meaningful everyday life for our clients.

At IT-pall, we work based on IBIC (individual needs in focus). You are responsible for the implementation plan and document in the Treserva system. As a support pedagogue, you are expected to actively drive the ongoing work with implementation plans. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other partners. As a support pedagogue, you are also expected to contribute your expertise to the rest of the group and have an overall perspective. It is therefore important that you feel secure in your role and want to share your knowledge. You will also collaborate with development leaders so that you and the group can develop your working methods.

Your Workplace

We are now looking for a new colleague at the daily activity IT-pall who wants to become part of our team consisting of support assistants, support pedagogue, and a team leader. The position is a permanent employment with a working degree of 100%. Your working hours will be scheduled during the day between 07:30-16:00. For us, it is important to maintain a good quality in our operations, and therefore we invest in further education for all permanent employees in pedagogical working methods and approaches that permeate our entire operation. We work, among other things, with TSS (signs as support), visual support, and low-arousal responses.

IT-pall is a daily activity within production, mainly packaging, located in Tannefors. We have over 30 employees who have this as their daily activity, although not all are there at the same time. We have a team leader who takes in orders from companies based on what the employees can handle. The packaging is then carried out based on incoming orders. Mainly, this involves baking accessories, health foods, and cosmetics. The goods are then sold in grocery stores.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a YH education as a support pedagogue or other education that the employer considers equivalent. It is a requirement that you have worked with people with disabilities. It is advantageous if you have training and experience in pedagogical working methods, within the autism spectrum, and low-arousal responses for people with disabilities. It is also advantageous if you have experience in documentation and working based on IBIC. It is desirable that you have knowledge in alternative complementary communication and welfare technology.

The work involves contacts and documentation, which means that it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish, as well as document in digital systems. It is advantageous if you have a B driver's license and a forklift license as it is required in the work. If you have previous experience or interest in production, that is a big plus.

You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly, with the ability to adapt your communication style. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability and can understand others' perspectives and situations. You listen to others' various needs and are receptive to others' ideas, allow failures, and provide constructive criticism. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and of people's different conditions. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient.
