Your tasks

As a support assistant, you create security, structure, and participation for the users in their daily lives. You support personal care, daily chores, activities, and communication, always with the individual's needs at the center.

You document and work with implementation plans according to IBIC (individual needs in focus) and collaborate closely with colleagues, relatives, and other partners. The work requires a calm, clear, and professional approach, as well as the ability to adapt your support according to each person's circumstances.

Your workplace

Askebyvägen 2 is a smaller group home located on the outskirts of Linghem, close to the train station and good commuting opportunities. Here live individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or acquired brain injuries in adulthood, belonging to groups 1 and 2 within LSS. The users require individually adapted and compensatory support in their daily lives, including care, structure, mobility, diet, and activities. Several are partially independent, and support is tailored to each person's circumstances.

We work from a pedagogical approach and use low-arousal responses as a natural part of daily work.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. The workgroup consists of support assistants and a support educator.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with education from the health and care program, child and leisure program, or other education deemed equivalent. You have experience working in support, care, and nursing.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and are used to working digitally. Computer skills are a requirement for the role. A B driver's license is an advantage.

It is advantageous if you have experience in care work, have worked with low-arousal responses, and have a pedagogical approach. Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injuries and working according to IBIC (individual needs in focus) is also advantageous.

As a person, you have pedagogical insight and adapt your approach and communication according to the individual's circumstances. You collaborate well with others, communicate clearly, and contribute to a good working climate. You are empathetic, secure in yourself, and have the ability to understand others' situations without taking over their feelings. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and plan and prioritize your work effectively.
