The Social Administration is responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and we are to implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by the individual being at the center to meet their needs. The mission involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.
The LSS and Social Psychiatry Provider (ULS) with over 400 permanent employees is a service organization aimed at children, adolescents, and adults. We are governed by LSS, SoL, and HSL and have implementation responsibility for interventions regulated by these laws. The organization is characterized by putting the individual at the center and collaborating to meet individual needs. The organization has a strong customer focus, good service spirit, and provides conditions for cross-border work that is both inspiring and competency-developing.
We are now looking for a support pedagogue for the group home Norra Kanalvägen!
The group home Norra Kanalvägen is an LSS operation where we provide support to individuals with disabilities to create a safe and meaningful everyday life. The operation is characterized by a person-centered approach, where each resident's needs, resources, and wishes are at the center. Here, as a support pedagogue, you will have the opportunity to work both operationally and developmentally, with a strong focus on pedagogy, structure, and participation. The group home is located on Norra Kanalvägen, in a quiet and pleasant area of Motala, close to both the city, the canal, and natural areas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The mission as a support pedagogue involves being involved in the responsibility for ensuring that the individual receives support, service, and care according to SoL (2001:453) and LSS (1993:387). The support pedagogue is responsible for quality and a holistic view regarding the work with users within ULS, on behalf of the unit manager and/or the operational pedagogue. The support pedagogue is placed in a unit to be part of the daily work and to observe, guide, and build trust within the work group. Administrative time is allocated with a minimum of 10% of the working hours. The allocation of administrative time is done in dialogue with the unit manager.
The role of the support pedagogue means that you contribute with in-depth knowledge and understanding regarding communication, contact and interaction, activities and relationships, support and service, health-promoting factors, as well as planning, development, and documentation within the operation.
In daily work, you and your colleagues are responsible for structuring and creating security in the user's everyday life together with them. The content and scope of the interventions are tailored to each child's/adolescent's individual needs. The job responsibilities include, among others:
- Support support assistants in the daily pedagogical work
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop the individual
- Work on various projects within ULS to develop our operations
- Maintain social documentation and support colleagues in the same
- Actively work with the follow-up of implementation plans
You are alone in your role at the workplace, but you have a whole workgroup of colleagues in the same role as you. All support pedagogues within ULS meet regularly in scheduled meetings! When you start with us, you will be offered an introduction at the workplace and also based on the mission as a support pedagogue. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Competencies:
- We are looking for someone with a qualified YH degree in a relevant field. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits in a relevant field or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
- You have professional experience with disabilities.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing is required as we use the language as a working tool and based on documentation requirements.
- B driver's license
Personal Competencies:
- You organize and plan your work well, work according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set deadlines and adhere to them.
- Collaboration between internal and external care providers occurs, which requires good collaborative and communicative skills.
- You are secure in yourself, stand up for your opinions, and have the courage to speak up when needed. You have the ability to separate the issue from the person and can feel secure even in uncertain situations.
- You easily adapt, develop, and learn new things according to changing requirements, conditions, or circumstances. You see opportunities in changes and can also change your perspective and approach.
