About the position

With us, you will support customers in their daily tasks together with your colleagues, focusing on utilizing the individual's own abilities and resources. Some customers have extensive care needs, while others need help putting on their socks. Regardless of the situation, they need assistance from accommodating and professional staff, which we provide. We work in teams with nursing assistants, nurses, and occupational therapists around each customer.

Examples of tasks:

• provide personal care (e.g., showering, toilet visits, meals, etc.) based on individual needs
• work and document in the existing operational systems
• participate in care planning and contribute to the establishment and follow-up of an individual implementation plan together with the individual and relatives according to guidelines for individual care and support planning
• case management with special responsibility for a number of customers and tailor care and support based on the individual's needs and circumstances
• perform certain tasks according to the Health and Medical Care Act based on delegation and instructions such as medical, rehabilitative, and habilitative interventions as well as medication management

About the workplace

Gustavsvik home care operates from premises on Drottninggatan. We primarily work in the areas of Adolfsberg, Mosås, and Marieberg. In the home care group, we are about 30 employees. We mainly use cars or bicycles to visit our customers.

The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, regulatory authority within the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a nursing assistant with us, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet customers in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. Taking responsibility for your tasks is a given for you. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. You also adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with customers and other staff, as well as document what the operations require in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• proof of protected professional title, or be covered by transitional regulations (permanently employed nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023)
• B driver's license, manual transmission
• ability to cycle

Meritorious:

• experience of working in care and support
• experience of working in home care
• experience of working in the operational systems Treserva, Medvind, and TES

Other information

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a nursing assistant. While waiting for your proof, it is possible to be employed as a care assistant. If you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the title.
