THIS IS WHAT YOU DO AT RIX
At RIX at the Riksbank, you will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting transformation journey within the Swedish financial infrastructure. You will be involved in driving, managing, and developing the Riksbank's payment system. As a system operator, you will be part of the team that ensures that the RIX system operates smoothly and that our participants, banks, and financial institutions receive first-class service. The role involves handling system administrative tasks, ensuring the correct execution of tasks, and managing any events in the systems that require immediate attention.
The position is part-time, approximately 25% of a full-time position. Shifts are on banking days between 06:30–10:30 alternating with 14:30-18:30 according to a rolling schedule. During the summer months, holidays, and certain other periods, you are expected to be able to work full-time as needed. The position also provides you with valuable insight into the Riksbank's work and role in the complex financial infrastructure.
We are looking for someone studying at a university in a relevant field for the position. We consider it an advantage if it is in economics or statistics, and that you have at least 2 years left of your studies. The position also requires that you are good at and have an easy time working in various IT systems, as well as having good analytical skills and a problem-solving approach. Experience in system administration, customer service, incident management, back-office, and operational clearing, preferably within the financial sector, is an advantage. We also prefer that you have previous experience working alongside your studies. Your accuracy, good communication and collaboration skills, analytical ability, service orientation, and calm demeanor are crucial for success in the role. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form as you will have both Swedish and international contacts.
THE TEAM
The Riksbank consists of nine departments. The Payments Department is tasked with providing a payment system for the settlement of payments in Sweden, supplying the country with cash, and working with payment analysis and innovation. The RIX operation is divided into three units: the RIX Operations unit, the RIX Management unit, and the RIX Business Development unit, all of which are part of the Payments Department. Start date: By agreement
Employment type: Permanent employment (part-time as needed, at least 2 shifts/week with hourly pay) starting with a probationary period of 6 months
Location: Head office in central Stockholm
Working hours: Fixed working hours according to a rolling schedule
Possibility to work remotely: No
