IT Object Specialist

The Education Administration in the City of Stockholm is Sweden's largest municipal administration, with nearly 17,000 employees and about 170 municipal primary and secondary schools.
As an IT Object Specialist, you are part of important digital initiatives within the City of Stockholm and contribute to ensuring that our schools have access to secure and effective IT support. You work and contribute to the management and further development of complex solutions and are the link between operations, technology, and external actors.

The unit for digital administrative support has the task of ensuring accessible and secure digital support based on identified needs within the objects that primarily support the administrative processes of operations. We are also responsible for supporting and collaborating within the pedagogical portfolio with a focus on development, operational benefit, security, and cost-effectiveness. We work to manage and drive ongoing operational work, such as maintenance, user support, testing, and contract follow-up based on common working methods and established processes, as well as collaborating within the city regarding IT infrastructure related to the portfolio's assignments. There are 17 employees in the unit.

Your role
The Education Administration's portfolio for the city's educational activities consists of four core objects and two support objects, organized according to the object management model pm3. To ensure management, the unit needs to strengthen its staffing with an IT-oriented object specialist (system administrator).
Your mission as an IT Object Specialist includes, among other things:
- acting as a coordinator and expert within your area of responsibility and implementing the object plan's goals within given frameworks in a cost-effective manner together with colleagues in management, operations, and our external suppliers
- ensuring that the object products/e-services are usable, accessible, and secure for operations
- ensuring that operational components/IT solutions are current, relevant, and accessible for operations
- coordinating and administering operational needs in close collaboration with the unit's object specialists, operations, and object managers to implement changes and development
- representing your area of responsibility and considering the needs of the city's educational activities
- gaining a good understanding of and adhering to the portfolio management structure and object management processes
- monitoring the environment from a digitalization and IT perspective.
Your skills and experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- a university degree in, for example, computer science, IT, or equivalent education that we assess as relevant for the tasks
- comprehensive knowledge of various types of infrastructure solutions such as integration platforms, IAM, application platforms, and data communication
- experience working in an organization with many suppliers and in a complex IT environment
- experience working with delivery management
- fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
For this position, it is advantageous if you have:
- experience working as an object specialist and in object management or equivalent
- worked with project management models and/or management models such as pm3 and ITIL
- experience working with GDPR issues
- experience from assignments within public/municipal operations
- experience from educational activities.
