About Tellusbarn

Tellusbarn was founded in 2007. Today, the company operates 28 preschools with around 2,000 educational places. Tellusbarn has operations in nine municipalities in Stockholm County and Uppsala County. We apply close leadership with an accessible principal, and the work teams receive guidance and further education from our special educators.

We collaborate with various external actors such as Sweden's art associations, SPSM, and the Special Education Department at Stockholm University. All preschools are general pedagogical and work based on four clear profiles: cultural preschool, outdoor preschool, bilingual preschool, and key preschool. Many of the preschools have several departments with Swedish-English activities. Within Tellusbarn, we place great importance on utilizing all children's knowledge and abilities, which also applies to our employees. With the short decision-making paths that exist with us, we hope and believe that both you and Tellusbarn will develop and improve.

About our preschool Väsjön

The outdoor preschool Väsjön is located in Väsjön, Sollentuna, nestled in lush nature and with a large private yard. The preschool focuses on outdoor pedagogy, where children are given good opportunities for exploration and play in nature. By spending a lot of time in nature, we create interest and understanding for plants and animals early in life. With this understanding and knowledge of our nature, respect for our surroundings develops, which is significant in learning for an ecologically sustainable future. Based on the curriculum, we explore the preschool's local environment and natural resources and familiarize ourselves with the right of public access.

The preschool has been newly relocated to a completely newly built facility since the beginning of 2024.
