Deputy Security Manager at the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG)

At the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) Supply Unit East (FörsE Mitt), you will have the opportunity to work with exciting tasks to contribute to making Sweden and the world safer. Logistics must be efficient and ensure high availability of all types of supplies throughout Sweden, which means that production, planning, and customer support are also important parts of our work.

About the Unit

FörsE Mitt contributes to effective defense logistics by making replacement supplies available where and when needed, in peace, crisis, and war. We carry out procurement and storage so that supplies and reserve materials are available when and where the Armed Forces need them. Production of graphic materials is also part of the unit. Within the unit's staff, there is a Security Function responsible for supporting the unit's operations in dialogue with the unit's security function within the framework of the Armed Forces' two main processes, planning and execution. Supporting functions related to these processes, such as HR, finance, and security service, are coordinated at the unit's staff through functional management, developing common methods, routines, and structure.

Main Responsibilities

The Security Function at FörsE Mitt is tasked with supporting unit management and departments with expertise in security protection and military security service. The work is characterized by coordination, support to managers and employees, and follow-up. You will collaborate with the Armed Forces' units and other actors and authorities on security protection issues.

As a Deputy Security Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting unit management and departments in security protection issues
  • Responsible for follow-ups within security, e.g., controls
  • Support to other security employees within the unit
  • Participate in the development of routines and action proposals
  • Preparation and revision of Security Protection Analyses and Security Protection Plans
  • Participate in internal controls of the unit's activities and conduct internal controls within the unit
  • Coordinate the development work within the function

The work involves travel within the country, and sometimes situations arise that require short notice. The position entails functional responsibility but not managerial responsibility for personnel and working environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education with approved final grades
  • Completed training in security service
  • Experience in security issues
  • Good ability and habit of expressing oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Good computer skills
  • Driver's license (at least class B for manual transmission)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Completed Security Officer Course (SOK) at FM UndSäkC
  • Completed Course for Security Service Handlers (KHS) at FM UndSäkC
  • Experience in staff positions
  • Experience in functional management
  • Experience working within the Armed Forces, particularly in military security service
  • Experience working in an authority subject to the Security Protection Act
  • Knowledge of the Armed Forces' IT systems within intelligence and security functions
  • Work experience in control operations

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, you need to quickly adapt to new complex tasks, have a high security awareness, and the ability to take initiative. You should have good analytical skills, a desire to solve problems, and be able to articulate assessments both in writing and verbally with proposals.

The work requires good collaboration skills, pedagogical and social competence. You work to create good lasting relationships and inspire trust. Your approach is perceived as safe and credible.

You can express yourself both in writing and verbally, contributing to good communication within the organization, with the unit, and other contacts.

Personal suitability is highly valued, as the behavior of all employees in line with the authority's values is crucial for the success of the assignment.

  • Employment type: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period if you are not already employed by the Armed Forces
