At the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) Supply Unit Mitt (FörsE Mitt), you will have the opportunity to work with exciting tasks to contribute to making Sweden and the world safer. Logistics must be efficient and ensure high availability for all types of supplies throughout Sweden, which means that production, planning, and customer support are also important parts of our work.

About Us

FörsE Mitt contributes to effective defense logistics by making replacement supplies available where and when needed, in peace, crisis, and war. We carry out procurement and storage so that supplies and spare materials are available when and where the Armed Forces need them. Production of graphic material is also part of the unit. Within the unit's staff, there is a security function responsible for supporting the unit's operations in dialogue with the unit's security function within the framework of the Armed Forces' two main processes, planning and execution. Support functions related to these processes, such as HR, finance, and security services, are coordinated at the unit's staff through functional management, developing common methods, routines, and structures.

Main Responsibilities

The security function at FörsE Mitt is tasked with supporting unit management and departments with expertise in security protection and military security services. The work is characterized by coordination, support to managers and employees, and follow-up. You will work proactively and systematically with the unit's security protection. In addition to collaboration within your own unit, you will collaborate with other units within the Armed Forces as well as other actors and authorities on security protection issues.

Your responsibilities include, for example:

  • Support to unit management and departments in security protection matters
  • Investigations of incoming security reports
  • Reporting of valuable and security-threatening activities
  • Development and actions based on local threat assessments
  • Response plans and actions in case of alarms
  • Preparation and revision of security protection analyses and security protection plans
  • Participate in internal controls of the unit's operations and conduct internal controls within the unit
  • Security vetting
  • Establishing routines, routine descriptions, and revising regulations
  • Training employees in security protection

Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education with approved final grades
  • Training in security services or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer
  • Good ability and habit of expressing oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Good computer skills
  • Driver's license (at least class B for manual transmission)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Training in security protection, security intelligence, or intelligence services
  • Experience in physical security or personal security
  • Experience working within the defense sector or an authority governed by the security protection law
  • Good habits in documenting, e.g., routines, reports, and follow-ups
  • Knowledge of the Armed Forces' IT systems within the intelligence and security function

Personal Attributes

To succeed in this role, you need to work independently, systematically, and take the initiative to solve problems. You are meticulous, have a high awareness of security and confidentiality, and can quickly adapt to new complex tasks with good analytical skills. The work requires good collaboration skills, so it is important to be able to build good, lasting relationships. You have social competence, are pedagogical, service-oriented, and interested in supporting others. You can express yourself both in writing and orally, contributing to good communication within the organization, with the unit, and with other contacts. Great emphasis will be placed on personal attributes.

Other Information

  • Start date by agreement.
  • Location: Arboga.
  • The work involves travel within the country, and sometimes situations arise that require short notice.
  • The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period if you are not already employed by the Armed Forces.
